Catherine Jane Zincon, 90, of Westminster passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Dove House surrounded by family and friends. She was born on February 1, 1927 in Sykesville, the daughter of the late Edward G. and Jennie (Rickle) Beaver, and the loving and devoted wife of Charles Lewis Zincon Jr. Catherine began her working career at Westminster Shoe Factory. She also worked for Westminster Knit and A&P Grocery. For over 40 years, she and her husband owned Modern Ideal Laundry and Dry Cleaners. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Soroptimist International of Westminster, and a beloved resident of Brightview Assisted Living. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter and son-in-law Joyce A. and Michael Dempsey of Westminster, son and daughter-in-law Charles L. "Bunky" Zincon III and Joni Zincon of Westminster; grandchildren Kelly Dempsey and partner Chad Brough, Liam Dempsey and wife Casey, Haley Zincon, Macy Zincon; great-grandchildren Devin Andrews, and Courtney Andrews; nieces Sharon Gill, Melissa Stump, and Mary Armacost; and Brightview Family and Friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Father Christopher de Leon as celebrant. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
