Chad Richard Wilson, an electrician by trade and resident of Hanover, PA, took his own life on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 40. Chad was born in Westminster, MD on April 1, 1977. He graduated from Francis Scott Key High School, Union Bridge, MD in 1995. He attended West Virginia University, and graduated from The Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts. Chad graduated as one of the top three students in his class from the Carroll Community College Electrical Apprenticeship program in May of 2009. He passed the difficult Master Electrician test on his first attempt. He worked most of his life as an electrician alongside his father. Chad was a devoted father, an avid gamer, and long time Oriole fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games of all varieties, and attending comic book conventions. He was a member of the Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren and the Electrical Contractors Association of Carroll County, MD. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Chad is survived by his parents, Richard M. and L. Marie (Davidson) Wilson; his wife, Jennifer (Dutterer) Wilson; his twin sons, Ethan Richard and Brody Thomas Wilson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25th at Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, 26 Pipe Creek Rd. Union Bridge, MD with his Pastor Steve Lowe officiating. Following a fellowship luncheon interment will be at Sandy Mount United Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Wellman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an educational fund to benefit Ethan and Brody Wilson.
