Charlene "Dolly" Gunneaux, 57, of Frederick, died Friday morning, Oct. 19, 2012, at home, after a battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 2, 1955, near Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Mary F. Morgan and Elmer Delphey Jr. She was the wife of Eddie Gunneaux II.

She grew up in the Frederick area and attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School. She was an active member of the Maryland Chapter of the Living Legacy Foundation and an advocate for Donate Life, as she was a two-time lung transplant recipient.

She liked Mustangs and enjoyed driving her poppy red 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, nicknamed "BrickHouse," around town, in local parades and to cruise-ins. She was an active member of the Golden Gears Car Club.

She enjoyed helping others and participated yearly in a variety of fundraisers to assist children and families, and medical advancements for such programs as Toys 4 Tots, the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice and Donate Life. Her family was most important to her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Crystal Harrison and spouse Derek, of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Diana McCutcheon, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; a son-in-law, Matthew McCutcheon, of Frederick; grandchildren Damien and Samantha Harrison, Layla McCutcheon, and Joy, Eddie IV and Gracie Gunneaux; a sister, Joyce Shaff; brothers Richard, Nick and Michael Delphey; sister and brother-in-law Carmen and Bill Burdette; many nieces and nephews; and the extended family of her late husband, John "Frankie" Harrison, including his parents, Edwina and Francis "Johnnie" Harrison, of Union Bridge; and his siblings Christie, Eddie, Gregory, Jamie and Joseph Harrison.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with the Rev. Tim May officiating.
