Charles Gilbert Bunce, Sr., 81, of Manchester, MD passed away on September 28, 2017. Born February 1, 1936 in Parkville, MD, he was the son of the late Charles and Eleanora Bunce and the devoted husband of Eva Bunce. Charles served his country honorably as a sergeant in the US Army. He retired from the Baltimore County Board of Education as a facility engineer. Prior to working for Baltimore County, Charles was part owner of a construction company. Charles was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan. He enjoyed hunting, crabbing, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion Post 200 and The North South Skirmish Association. His family remembers him as a hard worker who always provided for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Eva Bunce; his son, Chuck Bunce, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Manchester, MD; daughter, Debbie Bodnar and husband Chip Boblitz of Hampstead, MD; two granddaughters; Kielyn, Lauren and three grandsons: Cameron, Ryan, Zach. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Brammer officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
