Charles Cyril Sinnott, 80, of Delmar, died October 18, 2015, at home. Born February 5, 1935, in Westminster, he was the son of the late George Cyril and Catherine Lantz Sinnott. He was the husband of the late E. Jane Sinnott, whom he married June 5, 1955 and who passed away in 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Carroll County until moving to Delmar in 2004. He was a 1953 graduate of St. John's Catholic School. He also served in the Army National Guard. In 1997, he retired from Black & Decker in Hampstead. He had a passion for golf and going to the slots. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Therese L. and Michael S. Patterson, of Salisbury; step grandchildren Skylar Snead and Kaelan Patterson; sister Grace Dutterer and brother William T. and sister-in law Dolores Sinnott; sister-in-law Louise Sinnott, an aunt Mary Alice McCaffrey and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and good friends. He was predeceased by brother and sister infant twins, a brother, George E. Sinnott, and a sister, Elizabeth Walsh. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5pm on Wednesday at PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster and from 11:30am to 12:30 pm on Thursday also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 1:00pm at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
