Charles Joseph (Chuck) Crane, age 90, passed peacefully to our Lord and Savior on March 31, 2017 in Naples, Florida. Chuck was born in Olyphant, PA in 1926 to Charles and Mary Crane. Chuck proudly served his country as a US Navy WWII veteran. Post his service to the country he loved, Chuck earned a Chemist degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in NY. He worked at Eastman Kodak for over 40 years. Chuck adored his life-long friendships from Rochester, NY, Matawan, NJ, Gaithersburg, MD, Lake Monticello, VA, Carroll Vista in Taneytown, MD and Naples, FL. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years Mary Ellen Crane and daughter Theresa Crane. He is survived by sons Joseph (Bernadette) Crane, Thomas (Lynn) Crane, Kevin (Kelly) Crane, and daughter Susan (Jeff) Kemp. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Joseph, John, Mallory, Steven, Brian and Daniel, and 3 great-grandchildren, Scarlett Theresa, Jenna Roland and Thatcher Gabriel. He is the oldest of nine siblings and is survived by sisters Nancy, Mary Margaret, Dorothy, Marjorie, Gertrude "Trudy," and Gail. He is preceded in death by his brother Frank and his sister Linda. Chuck's funeral service will be held on April 22, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church on 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vitas Healthcare or Avow Hospice of Naples, Florida.
