Charles Michael Goad Jr., 33, of Westminster, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Eldersburg, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Dec. 31, 1980, in Frederick, he was the son of Charles Michael Goad Sr. and Bessie Ann Beall Goad, of Sykesville. He was the husband of Shannon R. Goad, of Westminster.

He had been an auto technician. He was a member of LifePoint Church in Reisterstown, where he was a member of the Men's Fraternity. He loved to work on cars.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are sisters and brothers-in-law Mandy Lynn Goad, of Sykesville, Jeanne Marie and Josh Truelove, of Woodbine, and Dawn and Allen Savage, of Winfield; a grandmother, Virginia Jeanne Beall, of Sykesville; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ray and Deborah Staubitz, of Westminster; a godmother, Marsha Kipke, of Sykesville; and seven nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ron Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Wards Chapel Cemetery in Randallstown.
