Cheryl Ann Sheridan Frederick, 71, of Westminster, went to be Home with her Savior on November 20, 2017, at her daughter's home, after battling cancer. Born September 29, 1946, in Baltimore City (Hampden), she was the daughter of the late John F. Sheridan, Jr. and Shirley Ann Krixer Sheridan, and the wife of the late Donald Linwood Frederick. She attended Mergenthaler High School. Cheryl excelled in typing and was employed at the Maryland Casualty Company initially as a word processor, working her way up to Regional Manager of Communications for the company. Thereafter, she served as a substitute teacher for Carroll County Schools, tutored children, drove a bus for Change, Inc. and for several years, maintained a group home for Change, Inc. in Westminster. She enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Surviving are her siblings, J. Coleen Sheridan, and her partner, John R. Sullivan, of Millsboro, DE and John F. Sheridan, III, and his wife, Chantel, of Venice, FL; and her children, Vicki L. O'Hara of Union Bridge, L. Wayne White and his wife, Carmella, of Harford County, and Mecca M. DiStefano and her husband, Charles, of Westminster, with whom she resided; grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Dustin O'Hara, Nicholas O'Hara, Brittany O'Hara, Christopher O'Hara, Christina Larkin-Dowery, Amanda Larkin, Jeremiah White, Hunter DiStefano and Tyler DiStefano, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Kelly Krixer Sheridan, her sister, Connie Rene Sheridan, her son-in-law, Dale O'Hara, and her nephew, Derik M. Sipes. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Grace Fellowship Chapel, 20 Bell Road, Westminster, MD 21158, with the Rev. Ralf Nies officiating.
