Christina Antonina Jungblut Slinkman, 67, of Westminster, MD accepted the warm embrace of our heavenly father on July 3, 2015. The Bible tell us, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (Corin.2.17-18). Christina's kindness, generosity and warm heart touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was blessed with a loving and devoted family, who deeply cherished her and loved spending as much time as they could with her. Celebrating Christmas was one of Christina's greatest joys and is when she especially loved to help those in need. Christina also embraced her Catholic upbringing- when she could not attend Church regularly, she would watch Mass from home, as well as pray the Rosary on a daily basis. Christina was a passionate animal advocate, rescuing many dogs and cats throughout the years. She enjoyed spending time with her constant companions, her Dachshund-Chihuahua mixes, Chanel and Beasley. Christina is survived by her husband, Albert Nelson Slinkman Jr.; her daughter, Angelique Slinkman; her son, Bradley Slinkman; her daughter-in-law, Victoria Slinkman; and her grandson, Bond Slinkman. She is succeeded in death by her mother, Edith Takesian; her father, William Jungblut; and her son, Albert Nelson Slinkman III. Private service will be held for immediate family only. The family gratefully declines flowers, but asks that you please make a donation to the Carroll County Humane Society http://www.carr.org/humane/howto.htm.
