Clara Belle Brown, 93, of Westminster passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Brookdale at Westminster. Born on May 5, 1923 in Ararat, NC, she was the daughter of the late Achillis David and Mary Jones Key. Clara was the wife of her late first husband Herbert Marshall who was killed in WWII in 1944 and her late second husband Henry L. Brown who predeceased her in 1990. Clara was a homemaker and a devoted member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Pleasant Valley and was active in the quilting group. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, and crossword puzzles. Surviving her are children and spouses Janice Marshall Humphreys and husband Joe of Pasadena, Karen E. Renshaw and husband Walter of Westminster, and Loring H. Brown and wife Shirin of Lutherville; grandchildren Mary White, Jodie Newman, Sherwin Brown, and Lydia Brown; and great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Layla, Madi, and Riley. She was predeceased by granddaughter Michelle Renshaw. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Debra Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
