Clara Lucas McKenna, 99, of Westminster, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at Carroll Lutheran Village.

Born January 6, 1915, in East Greenbush, New York, she was the daughter of the late Mary Krzyanek Lucas and Joseph Lucas. She was the wife of John J. McKenna, who died in 1974.

Before retiring, she was employed with the New York State Employment Division. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed Polish music, gardening, playing cards and socializing with family and friends.

Surviving are son William J. and wife Anne McKenna, of Westminster; grandchildren Amy Gilford and husband Jim, of Taneytown, Jenifer Naldrett and husband Richard, of Baltimore, Will McKenna and wife Kate, of Baltimore, Eileen Hare and husband Ron, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service, 3 p.m., Tuesday at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster with Deacon Paul Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
