Concetta G. Purpura, 91, of Oro Valley, Ariz., formerly of Pikesville, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, in Arizona.

Born Aug. 18, 1920, in Cefalu, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppi and Serafina Glorioso. She was the wife of Salvatore Purpura, who died in 1994.

Surviving are a daughter, Concetta Purpura Glorioso; grandchildren Rosa M. Dailey, Concetta J. Jugo, Lisa M. Chalk and Frank J. Glorioso; great-grandchildren Isabel M. Dailey, Madeline S. Dailey, Julie N. Jugo-Tom, Suzanne M. Jugo-Nichol, Christina M. DiSantostefano and Michael DiSantostefano; great-great-grandchildren Thomas P. Nichol, Jeremy M. DiSantostefano, Kimberly M. DiSantostefano-Knight, Isabella DiSantostefano and Samantha Tom; and a brother, Vincenzo Glorioso.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville. Entombment will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
