Connie Rene Sheridan, 61, of New Windsor, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Seasons Hospice in Northwest Hospital Center, following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 24, 1952, in Hampden in Baltimore, she was the daughter of John F. Sheridan Jr., of Taneytown, and the late Shirley Ann Krixer Sheridan.

She attended Mervo High School, where she studied cosmetology. She enjoyed music and dancing, and as a teenager, danced on the "Kirby Scott Show." She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and at the beach.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are daughters Tori Rene Sheridan and partner Anthony Jacobson, of Ellicott City, and Kelly Ann Redman-Smith and husband Donald R. Smith, of New Windsor; sisters Cheryl A. Sheridan Frederick, of Westminster, and J. Coleen Sheridan Sipes, of Taneytown; brothers Kelly K. Sheridan and wife Mary of Millsboro, Del., John F. Sheridan III and wife Chantel, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandchildren Brody M. Sipes, Kayla A. Smith, Gage T. Martin, Shaun P. Martin, Kylie C. Redman-Smith, Mia A. Jacobson and Connor A. Jacobson; nieces and nephews Vicki O'Hara, L. Wayne White Jr., Mecca DiStefano, Christy Boyd; and numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by nephew Derik M. Sipes and former husband, Roland E. "Butch" Redman.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Aug. 17 at Crosswind Church, 640 Lucabaugh Mill Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Dave Sulcer officiating. Colorful dress is encouraged.
