Craig Barton Spicer, 58, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born on December 18, 1956 in Baltimore, he was the son of Patricia Lord Spicer of Westminster and the late Bartus C. Spicer, Jr. He was the husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" Spicer, who predeceased him in 2008. He is remembered by his wife Christine Spicer. Craig was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired, self employed Private Investigator. Craig was also an Auxiliary Deputy for the Carroll County Sheriffs Department, a member of the D.A.V., and a member of St. John's (Leisters) Lutheran Church. Surviving Craig are children and spouses Crystal and Jason Swem of Glyndon, MD, Bryan and Melissa Spicer of Hanover, PA, and Sarah and Brian Rupp of York, PA; grandchildren Ella Swem, Charles Spicer, and Jackson Spicer; sister Claudia Kothman of Seven Valleys, PA; and brother Stuart Lord Spicer of Westminster. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd.,Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. with his pastor, Rev. Kristin Dubsky officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157. Online condolences may be made at
