Dale Wayne Porter Sr., 55, of Westminster, formerly of Woodbine, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at home.

Born Sept. 12, 1957, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Porter Sr. and Betty Lee Brown Porter. He was the husband of Rose Porter.

He was a truck driver. He enjoyed his '66 Impala and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also liked to work and fix lawn mowers.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Dale Wayne Porter Jr. and companion Katherine Rose, Christopher Livesay, and Michael Meushaw and companion Heather Simpson; siblings Judith Bowling, William Leonard Porter Jr. and Sandra Lee Hall; a grandchild, Evelyn Rose Porter; step-grandchildren Anthony, Cheyenne and Timothy Lewis; brother-in-law Karl and wife Melanie Hackl; a former brother-in-law, Jimmy Bowling; a nephew; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Liberty Church, 1641 Old Westminster Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Joe Ready officiating. Inurnment will be private.
