Daniel Jason Peregoy, 26, of Taneytown passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 while stationed in Guam. He was born on May 17, 1990 in Germersheim, Germany and was the son of Ursula Wambsganss Peregoy of Taneytown and the late Robert Wayne Peregoy who passed away in December 2009. He was the husband of Marjorie JoAnn Peregoy and loving father of Carter Robert Peregoy both of Waterville, Kansas. Daniel was a graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, class of 2008. After high school he worked for EVAPCO in Taneytown for several years until entering the United States Air Force in 2013 where he worked as a security forces officer. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cars and his motorcycle. He loved animals and had a special fondness for dogs. Surviving in addition to his mother, wife, and son are paternal grandparents Robert and Barbara Peregoy of Hanover, PA; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Katie Peregoy of Littlestown, PA; brother and sister-in-law Benjamin and Tori Peregoy of Mechanicsburg, PA; nephews Oliver Peregoy and Berrin Coon; and extended family in Germany. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 10:00 am until the start of Memorial Services at 11:30 a.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Interment with military honors will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family for an education fund for his son Carter, c/o Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, MD 21157.
