Daniel John "Danny" Serio, 55, of Hampstead, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Danny was born on June 15, 1961 in Baltimore and was the son of the late Samuel Joseph, Sr. and Helen Louise Serio. He was the husband of Janet Serio. Danny was a veteran of the US Air Force. He graduated in 1979 from Mt. Hebron High School and attended classes at University of Maryland Baltimore County. Danny worked as a machinist for Ridge Engineering for over 15 years. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Raven and Oriole fan and was involved with the fantasy football league at work. Danny especially loved attending his children's sports and was one of their biggest fans. He was a former member of Liberty Reformed Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are children Danielle J. Serio, Christopher J. Serio, and Jonathan D. Serio all of Hampstead; brothers Samuel J. Serio, Jr. and James W. Serio both of Atlanta, GA, sisters J. Diane Morley (Ron), and Sandy L. Young both of Westminster; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of services at 1:00 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd, with Rev. Dr. Herb Ruby officiating. Interment will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made towards an education fund for Danny's children.
