Darby Jane Drobnek, 76, of Eldersburg, died unexpectedly on August 1, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born June 27, 1941 in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Noah & Goldie Romaine (Rinehart) Snyder. She was the wife of Richard Michael Drobnek, who she married May 8, 1971. Darby was a graduate of St. John High School, class of 1959. She went on to graduate from Union Memorial School of Nursing in 1962. She loved nursing and worked 30 years in all at Union Memorial and Northwest Hospitals. Surviving in addition to her husband are children Richard Michael Drobnek, Jr. of Eldersburg; Jane Rebecca Summers and husband Ben of Forest, Va.; and Allison Elaine Kraftson and husband Todd of Aldie, Va.; sister Mary Alice Snyder of Westminster; and sister-in-law Faye Snyder of Westminster; Grandchildren Lindsay, Savannah, Grant and Madelyn Summers; Keira, Alaina, Evan and Gavin Kraftson. She was predeceased by brother Curtis L. Snyder. Darby loved her children and grandchildren. She was a caregiver to her husband for 12 years. She was a Christian and loved God. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd, Westminster, Md. They will receive visitors again Saturday at 10 a.m. until the start of funeral services, officiated by Rev. Mark Seager at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Deer Park Cemetery, Smallwood.
