Darlene Elizabeth Palmisano, 48, of Cumberland, died unexpectedly on December 9, 2014 at the Western Maryland Health System in Cumberland. Born March 7, 1966 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Stanley E. Kohlhepp, Sr. of Westminster and the late LaVerne Kohlhepp. She was the wife of Keith Palmisano, whom she married August 20, 1983 and the step-daughter of Vickie Kohlhepp of Westminster. Darlene was a homemaker. Before she moved to Cumberland, she had attended the Church of the Open Door. She was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed being with family and friends. Darlene loved nature, her dog, dancing, collecting snow globes and taking rides in the country. Surviving in addition to her husband and father are children Keith Palmisano, Jr., Anthony Palmisano, Bo Palmisano, all of Cumberland and Vincent Palmisano of Westminster; siblings Stanley Kohlhepp, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Vernon Kohlhepp of Duncan, OK, Tammy Howard of Westminster and Cassie Kohlhepp of Finksburg; and 8 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, MD 21157. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 am with Pastor Rick Holbrook of the Church of the Open Door as celebrant. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Eldersburg. Online condolences may be offered at www.prittsfuneralhome.com.
