David A. Peak, Sr., age 66 of Sykesville, died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born June 23, 1951 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Arthur Alexander and Hazel Virginia Vernon Peak. He was the husband of Margaret "Bunny" Poist Peak of Sykesville, his wife of 44 years. David had worked at Maryland Cup for 17 years, and was currently working at Northrop Grumman with 33 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed working on tractors and cars. Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law David A. Jr. and Natalie Peak of Sykesville, sisters-in-law Bobbie Roshon and her husband Larry, Sherrie Kay and her husband Lex, brother-in-law George Rebhan, grandchildren Ryan Lee Peak, Mason David Peak, and Maci Marie Peak, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy R. Peak, by his brother Stanley E. Peak, and by his sister-in-law Patsy Rebhan. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Change, Inc., 115 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157, or to the William E. Kahlert Regional Cancer Center, 291, Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
