David Charles Millberry Sr., 65, of Taneytown, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, after an extended illness.
Born Jan. 5, 1947, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles O. and Amelia Irene Roberts Millberry.
He was formerly employed at the Westminster Shoe Factory, Shelter Systems, Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College, and Bill Grove Concrete Company.
He enjoyed watching wrestling, Baltimore Ravens, drag racing and sports in general; collecting crystal, and listening to music.
Surviving are a son, David C. Millberry Jr., of New Windsor; sister Ruth M. Smith and husband Paul, of Westminster; brothers, twin Donald Millberry, William Millberry and wife Brenda, and Douglas Millberry, all of Westminster, Bryant Millberry and fiancee Betty Hayes, of West Virginia, and George Millberry and fiancee Sondra Jones, of New Jersey; aunts Bernice Stinnett, of Baltimore, and Thelma Hammond, of Westminster; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia L. Millberry; and a sister-in-law, Robin Millberry.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, with the Rev. Don Levroney, pastor of Fairview United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery in Uniontown.
