Dean E. Barrick, 58, of Westminster, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Born Oct. 25, 1957 in Baltimore, he was the son of Juanita Petry Bennett of Westminster and the late Kenneth W. Barrick. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terry Kehoe Barrick. He worked for Gray and Son. He was a 1975 graduate of Westminster High School. He was a licensed taxidermist and state record holder for the largest freshwater striped bass caught, which he claimed May 23, 1999. He enjoyed going to auctions and collecting. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Annie and Matthew Dunnigan and Aisling Barrick, all of Westminster, brothers and sisters Freda Johnston of Hampstead, Kenneth H. Barrick and wife Helen of Westminster, Loretta Lewis of Florida, Steven Barrick of Baltimore and Lois Shanks and husband Jeff of Westminster, a grandson Maximus Dunnigan, pets Tex, Jasper and DW. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
