Dean Edmund Leppo, Sr., 80, of Westminster, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Dove House. Born Nov. 11, 1935 in Westminster, he was the son of the late Edmund Paul Leppo and Helen Devilbiss Leppo. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Kehoe Leppo. He was employed at Smith and Reifsnider for many years and before retiring he was a Deputy with the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of St. Bartholomew's United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA, Littlestown Eagles and the FOP. He enjoyed going to Rehoboth Beach, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR and dirt track racing fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children Dean Leppo, Jr. and wife Deb of Hanover, PA, Kathy Stahl and husband Albert of Westminster, Douglas E. Leppo of Littlestown, PA, Kim Spicer and husband David of Westminster, Kay Alexander and husband John of Westminster, 7 grandchildren David B. Spicer and wife Nancy, Jessica Daily and husband Bill, Daniel Alexander, Albert Stahl, III, Ryan Douglas Leppo, Tiffany N. Spicer and Jason Dean Stahl, 4 great-grandchildren Connor, Liam and Carys Daily, and Ben Spicer. He was predeceased by two daughters Janet Marie Leppo and Karen Louise Leppo, a brother Dennis Jacob Leppo and sister Donna Mae Leppo. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St.,Westminster, where funeral services will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Ray Shutt officiating. Private interment will be held at St. Bartholomew's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
