Deanna Lee Files, age 76, of Unionville, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Born December 8, 1940 in Windsor, VT, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Barbara Jesseman Bythrow. She was the wife of Oren S. Files, her husband of 58 years. Mrs. Files was a member of Wakefield Valley Bible Church, near New Windsor, where she had formerly taught the Women's Bible Study. She was a member of the auxiliary of Gideons International since 1982, was a past president and held other local and state offices. She served as the International Auxiliary cabinet representative. She was formerly a kindergarten teacher at the Riverdale Baptist School of Upper Marlboro. She enjoyed cross stitch, word puzzles, word search and jigsaw puzzles, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by children, Mark Files and wife Jeannine of Hartford, VT; Michael Files of Catonsville and Annette Moore and husband Michael of Unionville; 7 grandchildren, Kelsey, Kathryn, Laura, Andrew, Christopher, Alexander and Aaron; sisters, Nancy Murphy and husband Red of Heartland, VT and Shirley Abbott and husband Russ of Concord, NH; brother, Brian Bythrow and wife Sylvia of Lebanon, NH; numerous nieces and nephews and her "adopted family", Maria Jones and children, Chuck, Terri, Annette and John. She was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Moore and a sister, Gloria Bythrow. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18 at Wakefield Valley Bible Church, 2206 Old New Windsor Pike, with church pastor, Rev. Mark Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 17 and from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
