Deborah Ann Cook, 56, of Woodbine, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Feb. 26, 1956, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Martha Ann Lowman Cook and the late Edward Alfred Cook.

She worked as an aide at a group home in Sykesville. She was a member as well as an administrative assistant for White Rock Church. Her favorite hobbies were reading and writing.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are brother and sister-in-law Brian and Debra Cook, of Reisterstown; nephews Jared and Brian Cook Jr., of Woodbine; a sister-in-law, Bernice Wilson, of Sykesville; uncles and aunts Maurice and Betty Cook, and Hamilton and Estelle Snowden Close; a friend, Kristine Johnson; and numerous family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at White Rock Church, 6300 White Rock Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Douglas Sands Sr., officiating. Interment will be in White Rock Cemetery.
