Deborah June Pickett, 55, of Sykesville, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born Sept. 12, 1957, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Walter S. Pickett and June L. Pickett, both of Sykesville.

She had worked in food service for many years. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, crocheting and helping others.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are sons Ronald E. Alder Jr., Jason Alder and companion Melissa Fields, all of Sykesville, and Eugene Staudt Jr., of Dallas, Texas; siblings Judy and Dave Ingram, of Ocala, Fla., Cindy Case and companion Jon Farrell, Linda and Mike Moore, and Joseph and Tammy Pickett, all of Sykesville; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
