Deloris Ann Hammond, 64, of New Windsor, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 9, 1951 in Mt. Airy, she was the daughter of the late Charles Robert Hammond, Sr. and Bernetta E. Myers Hammond. She was the loving companion of Harold Ferguson for 30 years. Deloris was a Laundry Aide at Carroll Lutheran Village. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and cousin and enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy and a 1969 graduate of South Carroll High School. Surviving in addition to her companion is son and daughter-in-law Pernell D. and Kristen Hammond of Hanover, PA; sisters Bernice Tyler and husband Richard of Frederick and Rose Kelly of Union Bridge; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by brothers Robert Williams and Charles R. Hammond, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Chapel at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 am at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bishop Matthew Newman. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
