Donald Walter Blucher, 77, of Finksburg, son of the late John W. and Flora E. Blucher, went to walk with the Lord on August 2, 2017. He was the husband of Susan C. (Bair) Blucher, who predeceased him, and former husband of Shirley Blucher. He is survived by sons Aaron Blucher and Philip Blucher, daughter Alex (Sandy) Lewis, and stepdaughter Gina Haynie, and their spouses. Don's son Michael D. Johnson predeceased him. Don is also survived by his brother David Blucher and sisters Carol Smith and Janis Bartlett. Don's brothers Harry & Jack predeceased him. Surviving family also includes six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Don loved the Lord, his family, NASCAR, fishing, golfing, his cats, and his church family at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Finksburg. Don had been an over-the-road truck driver, owned his own automotive repair shop, had a pilot's license, and most recently had worked for Cary Insulation and Schuster Concrete. He was a skilled mechanic and could repair almost anything. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 3006 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD, with his friend and pastor, the Rev. Lou Piel, officiating. Memorial contributions in Don's name may be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church or Carroll Hospice.
