Donald Calvin Parham, 65, of Finksburg, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at his home. Born November 5, 1949 in Olney, he was the son of the late Paul R. and Alma Clement Parham. He was the former husband of Peggy Parham. He worked in maintenance at Max Realty. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Donald was an avid hunter and fisherman and like to collect animal figurines. He enjoyed working with his hands and doing yardwork and was known as a go-to person who would help anyone with anything they needed help with. Surviving in addition to his former wife is daughter Sabrina Parham of Finksburg; "adopted son" James L. Buchanan and wife Leah of Taneytown; siblings Ronald Parham of Knightstown, IN, Patricia Keller of Gamber and Dexter Parham of Keymar; grandchildren Kasey Parham and Joyce-Lyn Archie and "adopted grandchildren" Leanne and Ethan Buchanan; numerous nieces and nephews; and his steady companions Missy and Sadie. He was predeceased by siblings Darlene and Phillip Parham. There will be no funeral services and interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Humane Society, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158. Online condolences may be offered at
