Dr. Donald Charles Wright, 86, of Westminster, formerly of Baltimore County, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born December 29, 1931, in Ft. Howard, MD, he was the son of the late James and Charlotte (Rietz) Wright. Twice married, he was the husband of the late Shirley Wright who passed away on December 25, 2012 and Susan Wright of Westminster. Dr. Wright earned his doctorate in education from Nova University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who worked as an educator and administrator for Baltimore County Schools. He was an Elder Emeritus and Charter member of Timonium Presbyterian Church and an active resident of Carroll Lutheran Village. Surviving in addition to his 2nd wife are his sons and their wives, Steven and Allegra Wright of Jackson, TN and Timothy and Jennifer Wright of Vero Beach, FL; brother Thomas Hinkelman of Ft. Howard, MD and grandchildren, Lily, Liam, Hannah, Lydia, Matthew and Abigail. The family will receive friends at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Please use the chapel entrance. Funeral service will be held at the Timonium Presbyterian Church, 303 W. Timonium Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Ganas officiating. Private interment will be held at the Maryland Veteran Cemetery at Garrison Forest, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made, in his memory, to the Timonium Presbyterian Church or to the Carroll Lutheran Village Resident's Assistance Fund, 200 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158.
