Donald J. Minor, 63, of Dover, Pa., died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at his home.

Born March 30, 1949, in Baltimore, he was the son of Daniel Sr. and Dorothy Guess Minor. He was the husband of Connie L. Seitz Minor.

He served in the Army and the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a welding fabricator for many years. He was a member of the Shiloh American Legion, Hanover V.F.W., Eagle of Hanover and Union Lutheran Church in York, Pa.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Melinda Mercado and husband Ivan, of York; Rachel Minor and her companion Carlos Almodovar, of York; brothers Daniel Jr., Stephen, Francis and Dennis, all of Carroll County; sisters Barbara Shealer, Sharon Harris and Sandy Hugg, all of Carroll County; and grandchildren Janaya Minor, Savannah Mercado and Ja'Ziah Almodovar.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday at The Emig Funeral Home, 47 North Queen St, Dover. A burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Judith McKee, from Union Lutheran Church, officiating.
