Donald Wayne Harmon, age 56, of Manchester passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born May 2, 1958 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John Edward Harmon and Betty Margaret Stultz Harmon. He was the husband of Denise Catherine Barrett Harmon, his wife of 16 years. Mr. Harmon was a Field Operations Executive for Mid Atlantic Air. He was the type of person who would never leave a person who needed help, and was known for having every tool imaginable to man. He was renowned for cooking breakfast and loved his kitchen gadgets. He was most proud of being loving and wonderful husband and father, who treated his girls like princesses and his boys like superstars. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, camping, collecting Harley Davidson memorabilia, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. While riding with his friends their destination would sometimes be attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Jacquelyn Harmon, Sara Harmon, Daniel Harmon, and Donald Harmon, Jr.; his grandchildren Daniel Harmon, Liam Delman, and Dominic Harmon; and his siblings Bonnie Conn, Nancy Rice, John Harmon, Gary Harmon, and Joe Emory. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 9, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., and private cremation will follow at All faith Crematory and Chapel in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for his daughter Jacquelyn, checks should be made payable to: Donald Harmon Memorial Fund for Jacquelyn Harmon, and your check should be mailed to PNC Bank, 2325 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.
