Dora Elizabeth "Betty" Roos, 89, of Westminster, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster.

Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Sykesville, she was the daughter of the late John F. Feezer Sr. and Francis Durbeck Feezer. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Roos.

She had been a sales clerk at Stewart's and a secretary with Baltimore Life Company and Robert L. Feezer Company. She was a lifelong member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and helping others.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Carroll Edward Roos, of Reston, Va., Larry Glenn and Sherry A. Roos, of Westminster, and Rickey Lynne and Georgina Roos, of Manchester; brothers John F. "Jack" Feezer Jr., William H. Feezer and Robert L. Feezer; grandchildren Rickey Roos Jr., Brian Roos, Sarah Royer, Jeff Hildebrand, Erin Caple, Kelly Roos, Larry G. Roos Jr. and Jacob K. Roos; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Nupp officiating. Interment will be in Wards Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Randallstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Wards Chapel UMC Heritage Trust, 11023 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133.
