Doris Cooper, 81, of Hampstead, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born Sept. 2, 1931, in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Frankie Marie Naylor Tracey. She was the wife of Lawrence E. Cooper, who died in 2008.

She had been a homemaker and was a member of Gideons International, the Westminster Rescue Mission Auxiliary and Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sisters Gladys M. Walsh and Judy L. Wilhelm, both of Hampstead; brothers Vernon E., George L. and Charles V. Tracey, all of Hampstead; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 3100 Shiloh Road, Hampstead, with the Rev. Denise Millett and the Rev. Sterling Walsh Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh United Methodist Cemetery.
