Doris Dee Bush, 91, of Westminster, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Carroll Hospital Center.

Born Oct. 31, 1920, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Alice May Weber Smith. Married in October 1969, she was the wife of James A. Bush for 42 years.

She was an alumna of the University of Pittsburgh and was a teacher in the surrounding areas of Pittsburgh for 25 years before retiring in 1974. She enjoyed music; playing the violin; spending time with animals, especially cats and dogs; writing; gardening; teaching her students and spending time with children.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are father-in-law and mother-in-law Dewayne and Emma June Bush; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Shelly and William Myers; Lorey and Michael Callan; and Christine and Kenneth Jones; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Steven and Gail Bush; and Randon and Nanette Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Hess.

The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Shamer officiating. Interment will be private.
