Doris Lee Pirkey Johnson, 82, of Westminster, formerly of Baltimore, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014.

Born Dec. 14, 1931, in Roanoke, Va., she was the daughter of the late Percy Claude Pirkey and the late Ruby Louise Braden Pirkey. She was the spouse of the Rev. Rollins Johnson.

Her last employer was Walnut Springs Nursery. She was a member of St. James UMC Dennings and The Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed working with ceramics.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son-in-law, Eric Eustice, of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Gerry McKenzie, of Lansdowne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Louise Eustice; a sister, Catheleen Willinghan; and a brother, John Pirkey.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Dennings UMC, 3000 Marston Road, Westminster. Interment will be at Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
