Doris May Fumat, 94, of Westminster entered into eternal life on Friday, March 24th at Shepherd's Glen Assisted Living. Born on January 6th 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, Doris was the daughter of the late Harold and May (Ferguson) Kincaid. She leaves her daughter, Jocelyn Ann Davey, Son in-law Andrew George Davey and three grandchildren, Cynthia Hope Davey, Bryce William Davey, and Kaitlyn Rose Davey who live in Hampstead and brought great joy to her later years. She was predeceased by her daughter Claudine Nancy Fumat, and husband Auguste George Fumat. Doris graduated from Bay Ridge High School in 1941. Doris worked in Manhattan, NY as an executive secretary for multiple companies including Wallace Murray Corporation, Marine Midland Bank, and Jed Management. She was a member of Fort Hamilton Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn NY. After moving to Westminster in 1992, she joined Westminster United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Susannah Circle. She also was an active volunteer at the Carroll County Farm Museum. Doris loved reading, spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games, bingo, cat-sitting, and going on trips with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Westminster United Methodist Church on Saturday April 1st at 12 pm, with calling hours from 1pm - 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 East Main St., Westminster, MD 21157.
