Doris M. Martin, age 93 of Reisterstown, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Sinai Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born October 3, 1924 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles T. and Eva M. Burns. She was the wife of the late William J. Martin, Sr. Doris had been a tape librarian in the banking industry for many years until she retired in 1986. She was a member of Reisterstown United Methodist Church. Surviving are her children, William J. Martin, Jr., Ronald G. Martin, Karen A. Brown and her husband Richard, and Jeffrey W. Martin, brother Kenneth Burns, sisters Margaret Null, Betty Mahoney, Connie Simms and Jane McQuay, grandchildren Richard H. Brown and his wife Katie, and Lauren E. Watson and her husband Marshall, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Rodney G. Martin and by her siblings Charles Burns Jr., Ralph Burns, Edith Smith, and Beatrice Fleetwood. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at Reisterstown United Methodist Church, 246 Main Street., Reisterstown, MD 21136. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reisterstown United Methodist Church at the above address.
