Dorothy B. Wilhelm, 93, of Upperco, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born Dec. 19, 1920, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Hoshall Baker. She was the wife of the late Lawrence P. "Jack" Wilhelm, who died in 1976.

She attended Strayers Business College and was a former Provident Bank teller for many years. She grew up in the Hamden and Remington areas. She was co-founder and operator, with her late husband, of Friendly Farm Restaurant, which celebrated 55 years in business this year. She had been an active member of The Mount, formerly Forest Baptist Church. She served on the board of directors of Forest Ridge Cemetery.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Larry Wilhelm and wife Denise, of Parkton; and Gary Wilhelm and wife Jane, of Upperco; granddaughters and grandson-in-law Caroline Wilhelm, Katie Wilhelm, Crystal Barnes and husband Stuart; and grandsons and granddaughter-in-law Christopher Wilhelm, and Andy Bowen and wife Farrell.

She was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Wilhelm, and a brother, William Baker.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, and at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the The Mount, formerly Forest Baptist Church, 17700 Foreston Road, Upperco; with Rev. Chris Brammer officiating. Interment will be in Forest Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Mount, 17700 Foreston Road, Upperco, MD 21155.
