Dorothy Catherine Ridgley Harrison, 87, of Woodbine, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Ridge Overlook Assisted Living in Westminster.

She was born December 19, 1925, in Sykesville. She was the daughter of the late Philip Ridgley and the late Mary Lillian Norwood Ridgley. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Harrison Sr.

She was a bookkeeper for Supply Company in Sykesville. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Mount Airy. She was an avid bowler in Mount Airy.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Paul F. Harrison Jr. and Susan, of Burkittsville, Edward "Eddie" Harrison Sr. and Jayne, of Woodbine, and Jeffrey L. Harrison and Sue, of Woodbine; grandchildren Paul F. "Butch" Harrison III and wife Linda, Shannon Harrison, Rachel Troppman and husband Eric, Elisha Iager and husband Mark, Jill Harrison Turner and husband Mike; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Brooks Ridgley, and grandchildren Eddie and Jered Harrison.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield.

A funeral service will be held on at 11 a.m.Thursday, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield with the Rev. Arthur Monroe officiating.

Interment will be in Morgan Chapel United Church Cemetery in Woodbine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Morgan Chapel Cemetery, c/o Alice Scott, 1725 Gillis Falls Road, Woodbine, MD 21797; or to Winfield and Community fire company, 1320 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
