Dorothy Ellen Yingling, 77, of Frederick, formerly of Keymar, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Homewood at Crumland Farms Nursing Center near Frederick.
Born Feb. 26, 1935, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Dessie Grimes Horner. She was the wife of the late Vernon G. Lookingbill and the late Richard V. Yingling.
She worked as a presser at the Borenstien's Sewing Factory in Taneytown. She was a member of the former Keymar Evangelical Christian Church, where she had been active in the Ladies Missionary Society.
She enjoyed reading the Bible, attending worship services and various church functions, listening to gospel music and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters Christine Caswell and companion Richard Dull, of Taneytown, Judy Hagan and husband Frank, of Keymar, Brenda Dull and husband Terry, of Fairfield, Pa., Lori Stonesifer and companion Brian Stitely, of Emmitsburg, Susan Pittinger and husband Michael, of Walkersville, and Dawn Wilson and husband Sam, of Hanover, Pa.; sons Christopher Lookingbill and wife Peggy, of Fairfield, William Lookingbill, of Taneytown, Charles Lookingbill, of Littlestown, Pa., and Martin Lookingbill and wife Vicky, of Keymar; a sister, Clementine Booth, of Chambersburg, Pa.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Dessie Elaine Lookingbill; a brother, Leonard Horner; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
Private funeral services and interment will be held Friday.
