Dorothy L. Ahrnsbrak, 87, of Bluffton, S.C., formerly of Westminster, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at National Health Care in Bluffton.

Born in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mamie Schmidt Long. She was the wife of the late Clyde E. Ahrnsbrak.

She was a retired history teacher and counselor in Carroll County. She was a former resident of Sun City Hilton Head and a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church in Bluffton.

Surviving are son Scot and wife Darice Ahrnsbrak, of Bluffton; daughter Sharon and husband Bob Black, of Bluffton; a sister, Kate Long, of Ocean City; grandchildren Aaron and wife Yazmin Black, Jessica Black, Daniel and wife Laurel Ahrnsbrak, and Rebecca Ahrnsbrak; and great-grandchildren Addison Black, and Tyler, Mark and Gabriel Winston.

A memorial service was held Wednesday at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg, with the Rev. Dr. David Highfield officiating.
