Douglas Arnold Leslie, 73, of Westminster passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born on December 1, 1942 in Baltimore to the late Arnold T. and Mary (Dixon) Leslie. Douglas was a graduate of Catonsville Senior High School, class of 1961. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He worked as a Baltimore County police officer and later as a telephone installer/repairman for Bell Atlantic. Douglas was a member of Church of the Open Door. He enjoyed collecting coins, model cars and trains and his artwork. Surviving him are brother John J. Leslie and wife Kathleen of Littlestown, PA; 3 children Mary, Jeffery, and Andrew and 4 grandchildren. Service and interment will be held at the Maryland Veteran Cemetery at Garrison Forest, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:30 am with Rev. John Campbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name for Missionary work, to the Church of the Open Door, Missions, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, MD 21157.
