Douglas Joseph "Doug" Angell, 47, of Westminster, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born July 21, 1966, in Silver Spring, he was the son of Robert Angell, of Littlestown, Pa., and the late Virginia Gatti Angell. He was the husband of Wendy Syberg Angell.

He was a 1984 graduate of St. Johns at Prospect Hall in Frederick and had attended the Valley Forge Military Academy. He served in the National Guard from 1986 to 1994. He was the owner/operator of Imagination Center Inc., a large format printing company in Frederick.

He was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. He coached soccer for the Charles Carroll Recreation Council, was an avid Redskins fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his children, nieces, and nephews.

Surviving, in addition to his father and wife, are children Benjamin Joseph Angell, Matthew William Angell, Emily Virginia Angell, and Andrew Douglas Angell, all of Westminster; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Jill Angell, of Brighton, Mich.; sister and brother-in-law Grace and Keith Huffer, of Keymar; a mother-in-law, Dorothy Syberg, of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers and sisters-in-law Dan and Christine Hoffman, of Nebraska, and David and Jill Gianino, of Missouri; and nieces and nephews Gregory, Sarah, and Elizabeth Angell, Nicole Nelson, Jenifer Nelson, Jessi, Joshua, Paul, Ruth, Samuel, Alma, and Mary-Frances Huffer.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
