Douglas M. Garcia, 74, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at his home. Born on December 6, 1942 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Jane Huff Garcia and Florentino B. Garcia, Sr. Douglas was the husband of Noreen Ann Garcia, his wife of 54 years. Douglas was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Volvo Technician Foreman with Koons Volvo in Owings Mills. Douglas was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Maryland Saltwater Sportsman Association. He enjoyed playing banjo and was also a former little league coach and played softball for many years. Douglas was very generous with his time and always helped others in their time of need. Surviving in addition to his wife are son Mark Anthony Garcia and wife Stephanie of Hanover, PA; sister Joyce Jones; grandchildren Sidney, Bailey, and Ben Garcia; sister-in-law Pat Garcia; niece Terry Scarborough and husband Gary; and nieces and nephews Lauren, Hannah, Tim, Beth, Jill, Mark C., Jennifer, and Christopher. Douglas was predeceased by brother Florentino "Sonny" Garcia, Jr. and sister Dolores Haskell. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster and on Friday, June16 from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Elders Baptist Church, 1216 Liberty Rd., Sykesville with his nephew-in-law, Rev.
