Dylan M. Rodgers, 16, of Westminster, died suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at his father's home. Born July 14, 1998 in Westminster, he was the son of Jacquelyn "Jacqui" Harmon-Rodgers of Westminster and Michael Rodgers of Hampstead. Dylan was a Junior at Westminster High School where he served as the Manager of the Varsity Football team and the Junior Varsity Lacrosse team. He enjoyed playing football, lacrosse and ping pong, listening to country music and texting, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved the Orioles and the Ravens. He also served as Manager of his brother's Winfield Cavaliers Football team. Surviving in addition to his parents are siblings McKayla and Chase Rodgers and Ryleigh Harmon; grandmother Carole P. Harmon; aunts and uncles Terri and Robert Whitestone, Rob and Rennie Pearre, Jimmy Harmon, Wendy and Larry Bloom, Tina Rodgers, Charlie Brown, Jeff and Theresa Rodgers, Kevin and Erin Rodgers, best friends Bailey, Tyler, Curtis, Tommy, Taylor and Brandon, and many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Kamryn Lesley, grandparents John M. Harmon, Garfield and Donna Rodgers; Uncle Mark Harmon, Uncle Tom and great grandmother Doris Brown. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. The family requests that everyone wear Orioles, Ravens or Westminster High School attire. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Joey Heath, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Larry Bloom, 2465 Hy-Crest Dr., Westminster, MD 21158 to help with funeral expenses.
