Emma Louise Clabaugh, age 90, of New Oxford, PA and formerly of Keymar, MD, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at The Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. Born Sept. 25, 1926, near Libertytown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harvey R. and Pearl V. May Strine. She was the wife of Stanley Lippy Clabaugh, who predeceased her in 1988. Mrs. Clabaugh was a 1943 graduate of Walkersville High School. She was formerly employed as a clerk at the Keymar post office for 19 years. She was a member of Johnsville United Methodist Church, had attended Nicarry at the Brethren Home, and enjoyed volunteering at the Brethren Home Community. Surviving are her children, Arlene Dehoff and husband Clair, of East Berlin, PA, Marvin Stanley Clabaugh and wife Myrtle (Smith) of Keymar, and Sandra Louise Clabaugh of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Greenwood of Braddock Heights. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice R. Wright on March 24, 2017; and a sister, Betty Cromwell. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E. Broadway, Union Bridge on Wednesday, May 24 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 25 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Paul Guiliano, pastor of Paradise Holtzschwamm ECC, officiating. Interment will follow in Haugh's Cemetery, Ladiesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren Home Good Samaritan Fund, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350, or VNA Hospice of Hanover/Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331.
