Mr. Earl "Tim" Warehime, age 71, of Manchester, Maryland, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Hanover Hospital after a short illness. Tim was born in Manchester, MD to Earl and Vallie Warehime on September 9, 1945. He attended North Carroll High School. He married Marianne (Hoppa) Warehime on May 23, 1970, in Woodstock, MD. Mr. Warehime worked for Colonial Pipeline for 48 years. He was a decorated firefighter and paramedic for the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department (25 years) and Manchester Volunteer Fire Company (52 years.) While in the fire departments, he held various administrative office and fire positions, such as EMS Captain and Assistant Fire Chief. He was a member of the Maryland State Firemen's Association (MSFA) Emergency Medical Services Committee. He was an advanced life support instructor for Hanover General Hospital. Tim also worked as a weekend paramedic with Westminster Fire Department and was also a state evaluator of EMT's for Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Federation. He was inducted into the MSFA Hall of Fame in 2010, and the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association Hall of Fame in 2016. He was also a member of the Masonic Lebanon Lodge 175. Mr. Warehime also served as the Mayor of Manchester from 1990-95. Tim is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Vallie (Brilhart) Warehime and grandson Jacob Allen Warehime. Mr. Warehime is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marianne Warehime, and his children: son Troy Warehime and wife Julie, of Hampstead, MD, son Tim Warehime and wife Terri, of Mount Airy, MD, son Matthew Warehime and wife Cherie, of Bowie, MD, and daughter Suzannah Howard and husband Rich, of Hanover, PA; grandchildren Tayler, Andrew, Alex, Amanda, Katie, Hannah and Emily. He is also survived by siblings from his marriage to Marianne Warehime: brothers, Charlie and Jerry, and sisters Gloria and Bernie, and many nieces and nephews. Tim's children and grandchildren were the center of his world and you would likely find him on the sidelines or in the stands of their athletic events. He also enjoyed his recliner, TV and his bottomless cup of Sheetz coffee. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 24, 2017 and Friday, August 25, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11am, Saturday August 26, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD, with Fr. Michael Roach officiating. Interment to follow in the New Immanuel Cemetery in Manchester. Reception at Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department immediately following the interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Warehime's name to the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department or St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church Building Fund.
