Edward "Ed" Capece, 61, of Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Westminster, Maryland and Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his home after an extended illness. Ed was born on December 28, 1954 in Morristown, NJ, and was the son of the late Nicholas and Jane (Babcock) Capece. Ed was the former husband of Doreen (Stonesifer) Capece. He was a 1972 graduate of Woodlawn Senior High School. He was a certified welder for close to forty years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapshooting. He was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church in Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his children Cara and Daniel; brother Brad and his wife Tammy; and his nieces Casey and Carmella, all of Maryland. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 1 to 3 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Martha Clementson officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to the , Maryland, Baltimore, Suite 110, 2002 Clipper Park Rd., Baltimore, MD 21211.
