Edward Eugene Greenwood, 82, of Westminster passed way on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born on April 28, 1934 in Hampstead and was the son of the late Sterling and Margaret (nee Coppersmith) Greenwood. He was the loving husband of Phyllis F. (McDonald) Greenwood, his wife of 52 years. Edward was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Hampstead High School. He was employed at Black and Decker where he worked as a punch press operater, retiring after 38 years. He then worked at Electronic Unlimited for 15 years. Surviving him in addition to his wife is daughter Mary Jo Greenwood and son James Edward Greenwood; daughter-in-law Judith Greenwood and her friend Gary Dell; nephew Jack Franklin and wife Amy, nephew Mark Franklin and wife Debbie; and good friend Virginia McCalmont and her family. He was predeceased by sons Todd Eric Greenwood and Michael Eugene Greenwood; siblings Mary Rudisill, Anna May Franklin, William Greenwood, John Greenwood, and Joseph Greenwood; and niece and her husband Sandra and Bob Franklin. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Schafer officiating. Interment will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
